Oooooh, I bloody love Caramel Slice! My mother used to make a version that had a tablespoon of Golden Syrup in the base, and a lot more ingredients in the caramel, which was boiled and poured over the base. It wasn’t cooked again, just left to cool and iced or chocolated. I may have to make some now!
Gosh you’ve been busy driving the sewing machine around, haven’t you. I feel all inspiried. Doesn’t mean I will actually get to that pile of sewing in the corner (I don’t sew, really- I just collect material!) but I am still really inspired!!!
GGS, caramel slice is pretty much a winner however it’s made I think! And fabric is completely a valid collectible, glad to inspire though! I’ll try to keep it up
I will have to try that recipe. I like to bake.
thanks daphne! it’s guaranteed to win you friends if you do bake it
Made the mistake of listening to this podcast in the car with 11yo – guess what we have to bake!
